THIS SITE DOCUMENTS INLAND FLOODING and a CITY'S NEGLIGENCE

April 2015

Getting the word out to a larger audience, still no mitigating actions from well-heeled Pinecrest, South Florida, zip 33156. Miami Dade County.

Hurricane Season begins June 1, 2015.

Below is a text section from a protest site titled Pinecrest Floods launched in January 2014. That remonstration continues here, on line, with yet another Pinecrest blog. Perhaps more to come, more 'Pinecrest' hits when googled.  More flooding images, too. Also, recently launched Pinecrest Underwater. That blog hours after this, more to follow until my city follows the rules.

Damning the city you have lived in for 35 years is not pleasurable. Neither is being flooded by their mistake and refusal to attend to.  Pinecrest Floods tells/ shows the entire story.

April 2014. Still no solutions, just more 'can't do's' from Pinecrest officials. 'Not our problem,' they say even as the wealthy Village of Pinecrest has placed me in proven — documented — danger.  I was always assured, promised, that I’d be safe even as Pinecrest raised the land elevation behind me because the building code stipulates water must be contained. They always pointed to that, said it was code, promised to abide by it. They didn’t follow code, they lied, and I am definitely at risk because of their actions.  Their activities are /were / continue to be illegal but who's watching them?

Stormwater overtopped berm on land permitted without drainage.

Water 5 inches on side yard, went to 80 feet under my house.

Neighborhood streets.

5 acres of former sumpland were elevated and cleared without drainage.
Backhoe stuck and sunk. See Pinecrest Floods for larger image.
